Be Holy for I am Holy

The Father never gives us a command that He has not equipped us to be able to keep. In this season of history it is most important for believers to desire and strive for holiness. His spirit in us will empower us to live in a manner that brings glory to Him. Tuck yourself away with your Father and let him work in you both to do and to will of His good pleasure.

Pitching a Tent Looking for a City

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance;and he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God. Hebrews 11: 8-10

This passage of scripture always inspires us to press on to obey God no matter what. Abraham stepped out in faith living as an alien in this world while looking for the city of God. Do you feel that way? Are you realizing that this world is not your home? Unfortunately so often we as modern day Christians live as though this world is our final destiny, spending our time, money and energy on carnal pleasures and material posessions. Brothers and sisters, we exhort you, be about kingdom work , there is much to be done, many to be reached with the life giving message of the gospel. As you go about your daily life, expend your energy and giftings on what will last and look for that city whose maker is God. You won't be disappointed.
