Home

We Praise the Lord we arrived home safe and sound last night around 6:17. It was great to see our family and to come home to flowers, homemade chicken soup and spag. sauce and noodles, homemade bread and desert prepared by loving friends welcoming us home.
Our time in Zhitomyr was wonderful and fruitful. Pastor Alexander greeted us warmly and he and his wife Ira had us for dinner on Saturday at their new home. We had such great time of fellowship with our friends. Pastor Alexander ( who is 49) almost died a year ago from poisons in his body caused by his liver, all of his organs started to shut down and he was paralyzed for 40 days and still has no feeling in his hands or feet. It reminded us of a passage from Phillipians 2:27 For indeed he was sick to the point of death, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. His church has around 1500 members who are actively walking out their faith in Christ. They feed the poor, minister to orphans, go to the hospitals and lay hands on sick people and pray for them, evangelize their neighbors , pray non stop at weekly prayer meetings and are a real powerhouse of love in the city. We are always so blessed to be in the church there. During worship on Sunday, which is very lively, PW was grabbed by the men who were dancing a Jewish dance up front and so there was PW dancing around in a circle holding hands with our brothers in Christ. It was so much fun to see and I took a picture which is not real clear, but I will be sure to post it so you can also enjoy. PW preached on Sunday and then we had several more hours of fellowship with Alexander and Ira and a messianic pastor Anatoly and his wife Luba. I will post a picture of them later today also.
Our flights were all on time, the seats were comfortable and the service was excellent.
We are looking forward to getting back into our routine here at home and although our hearts are always torn between two nations, we know that God has a purpose in our coming and going. It is such an honor to serve him and to play a small part in what God is doing on the earth today.
Pastor Bill did a wonderful job holding things together here at home. The reports of his powerful sermons have reached our ears and we can't wait to hear them ourselves. We could not do what we do without his ministry here at home.
Please be sure to check back tomorrow and look at the pictures from the trip. There will be lots of them for sure.
With love and thanksgiving for your faithful prayers and financial support. Wayne and Sherry
